• Alida Teuna Willemina was born on September 3, 1911 in Zevenhuizen, South Holland, Netherlands.^[1] Her father was Adrianus van Rijs and her mother was Trijntje Buitenhuis.
• She married Jan Langeveld on May 28, 1941 in Zevenhuizen.^[2] They had 2 sons and a daughter.
• Ali and Jan immigrated to Australia in 1951, and settled in Mt Evelyn, Victoria, Australia. where many other Dutch migrants had settled. They were members of the Mt Evelyn Dutch Reformed Church. Jan died in 1971.
• Due to declining mobility in 1986 Ali moved in with her daughter and her daughter's family who also lived in Mt Evelyn. During this time she had two hip replacements. In 1994 Ali was diagnosed with throat cancer. She passed away on September 18, 1994 in Ringwood Private Hospital, Ringwood, Victoria Australia. She was buried in Lilydale Lawn Cemetery.^[3]
